Bread and papadoms with a very tasty dipping sauce was brought to the table within minutes of sitting down. | ThaItalian cups (petite pastry cups filled with shrimp, ground chicken, corn, onion and diced tomatoes, served with honey cucumber sauce and crushed peanuts, $8.95) |
Red curry tenderloin (grilled beef tenderloin with red curry sauce served with Thai jasmine rice, $12.95) | Green curry linguini (linguini sauteed with snow peas, broccoli, mushrooms, bell peppers and Thai basil in light green curry sauce, $7.95) |
As evinced above, the restaurant was relatively empty on a Thursday evening in the middle of a Southern Californian "winter." It is also a clean, sleek environment. The food was very, very tasty and relatively cheap. I drank the peach lemonade which was a nice counterpoint to the flavorful food. I ordered the ThaItalian cups, which were delightfully crunchy and savoury at the same time. The green curry linguini was caliente but not too picante. The other half had a wonderfully creamy butternut squash soup, followed by the red curry tenderloin beef. The food was quite filling so we didn't have dessert.
All-in-all it was a lovely dining experience.
