Serena Williams beat Dutch Michaella Krajicek 6-3, 6-4 to move into a 4th round clash with Dinara Safina who had a tough 3-set win over slumpingItalian Francesca Schiavone.

Venus Williams ran out of steam in her match against Serbian Jelena Jankovic, losing 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 committing 52 errors and together the two big hitters had a mere 16 winners between them.

Sadly, Gael Monfils of France lost to Argentine David Nalbandian in four closet sets, 7-6(5), 5-7, 6-4, 7-6(5).
