Andy Murray won his first ATP Masters Series title in Cincinatti on Sunday, defeating World #3 Novak Djokovic 7-6(4) 7-6(5) in 2 hours, 22 minutes. With his win, the 21-year-old Brit (Scot) will rise three places in the rankings to #6.
Murray had also beaten Djokovic last week in Canada after losing all previous career meetings between the young phenoms. Djokovic was coming off of demolishing current World #2 (and soon-to-be World #1) Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals, ending the Spaniard's 32-match winning streak which claimed two major titles (Wimbledon and Roland Garros).
