this interesting 3-D visualization of the famous Mandelbrot set. The Mandelbrot set is a very famous example of a fractal, which is an object which is self-similar under magnification. It is usually depicted in two-dimensions, since it is generally generated using complex variables. There are
many more stunning images available.
