Nadal Wins 6th Consecutive Monte Carlo Title

In an all-Spaniard final, Rafael Nadal cemented his status as the greatest clay court player of all time by beating heartthrob Fernando Verdasco 6-0 6-1 to win his 6th consecutive Monte Carlo ATP Masters Series title.

The match was much more competitive than the score suggests, with Nadal's lack of unforced errors and ridiculous defensive skills more than a match for Verdasco's firepower and nervousness.

It was former World #1 Nadal's first title since May 2009.
