Francesca Schiavone played the match of her life to win her fourth career title and first major title by defeating Samantha Stosur 6-4 7-6(2) in the 2010 French Open final.
Schiavone handled the moment better and actually served better than Stosur, who some say has the most effective serve in women's tennis. The Italian had 6 aces to the Australian's 3. They each only had one double fault but Stosur's was on breakpoint, while Schiavone got her first serve in on both of her breakpoints. The main difference was at the net, where the winner won 14 of 15 points while the former doubles specialist only won 11 of 18.
The t-shirts on the Italian's supporters say it all: "Schiavone: Nothing Is Impossible"
