It features two straight parents explaining that they want the same right for their lesbian daughter to be protected and loved by a married spouse as they want for their other daughters.
This "Boehler" ad is very similar to the first ads used in Maine (2009) and even California (2008). Obviously, there are many more straight people than LGBT people, so the advertising must be targeted at convincing them why they might want to vote to allow same-sex marriages.
How nice. The Maine and California campaigns lost. So, let's try a third time with the same kind of ad because we suffer from cognitive dissonance. Or as Barack Obama would say, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results!"
