Tennis Tuesday: Murray Out For Rest Of Season After Back Surgery

World #3 Andy Murray announced that he will be undergoing "minor surgery" on his back that will cause him to miss the rest of the season but should allow him to return in time for the Australian Open in January 2014.

Interestingly, Murray's absence should provide an opportunity for Roger Federer to have a better end of the season than he has so far. Only time will tell but it can't hurt that one of the few people ranked higher than he is will no longer be competing for the next two months.
