SATURDAY POLITICS: Large Majority Support for LGBT Job Projections
A recent poll conducted by Mitt Romney's pollster indicates large and wide support for the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), including 56 percent of Republicans with only 21 percent of respondents opposing it. Using statistical modeling from their national sample, they have indicated that there is majority support for protections against employment discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in every state in the Union.
It is expected that after New Jersey's special election next Wednesday (which Cory Booker is expected to win) there will be 55 Senators caucusing with the Democratic-led majority and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will schedule a vote soon afterwards.
