TENNIS TUESDAY: WTA Rankings Show Li Na Almost At #2

The new WTA singles rankings are out and they show that there have been some interesting moves in the Top 5. 2014 Australian Open champion Li Na moved back up to #3 and is a mere 11 ranking points away from #2 Victoria Azarenka. Agnieska Radwanska also moved up, to #4, while Sharapova fell down to #5. The rest of the Top 10 remained constant except for Simona Halep swapped places with Caroline Wozniacki and entered the Top 10 for the first time. Ana Ivanovic is now up to #12, showing that her defeat of Serena Williams in the 4th round was no fluke while surprise 2014 Australian Open finalist Dominika Cibulkova is all the way up to #13.

I would not be surprised at all if Li Na hits #2 by the French Open, although she has not had much success in Indian Wells or Key Biscayne and Azarenka has.
