Celebrity Friday: Richard K. Morgan Has Finished The Dark Defiles!
Somehow I missed this rumor when it hit the blogs a few weeks ago. Apparently one of my favorite authors, Richard K. Morgan, has finally completed the next (and last) book in the A Land Fit For Heroes series, called The Dark Defiles. The first book was published in 2009 and called The Steel Remains while the sequel The Cold Commands didn't come out until 2011. This fantasy series is significant (and infamous) because the main character Ringil Eskiath is openly gay.
The good news is that Morgan has finished the book and it is expected to be released sometime in 2014. And wait, there's more. Much more. Apparently the book is 247,000 words long, which is pretty gigantic and larger than anything Morgan has written before.
I'm already getting excited!
