SATURDAY POLITICS: Comparing Obama's Approval Ratings Over Time

The above graphic shows presidential approval ratings according to Gallup for the last three decades. The first thing to notice is that both President Bushes were able to get their approval ratings into the stratosphere (i.e. above 75% approval) but they both also fell into the sub 30% basement. President Obama on the other hand has been steadfast between the high 30s and the high 60s. The darker areas indicate more time spent in that region. So, Obama's most frequent approval rating is in the mid 40s.
