Pacific Life Open: Serbs Rule

At the Pacific Life Open, the most well-attended non-Grand Slam tennis event in the world, Serbians Novak Djokovic and Ana Ivanovic claimed the 2008 titles. Ivanovic defeated Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-4, 6-3 while Djokovic beat American Mardy Fish 6-2, 5-7, 6-3.

Woo hoo! What a great day of tennis, and, while I'm still recovering from the shock of Roger being taken out so easily by the journeyman Fish in the semi's, to have the sexist man and woman in tennis both win on the same day, all good!

And, oh yeah, what's up with that trophy, in the picture of Novak, it just looks "odd."

Glad that the Serbs won both tournaments, in that both are playing some of the most exciting tennis today.
As to the trophy, wish Pacific Life and their whale logo could at least be made by baccarat and be clear as opposed to that current incarnation. But it won't look like all the other trophies in the case(g)!
