WATCH: Trailer for Ender's Game

The trailer for the upcoming film adaptation of the classic book Ender's Game has been released. The movie has an amah-zing cast, with Harrison Ford, Asa Butterfield (as Ender), Abigail Breslin (as his sister Valentine), Hailee Steinfeld, Viola Davis and Ben Kingsley.

My feelings towards this movie are quite ambivalent. The book is a personal favorite, but the author, Orson Scott Card is a raving bigot, a heterosexual supremacist ne plus ultra, who has explicitly called for the violent overthrow of the United States government because of marriage equality as well as the criminalization of homosexuality nationwide.

The fact that there will finally be a movie adaptation of one of the seminal novels of science fiction is usually a cause for celebration but since Card is such an execrable person it raises the dilemma of the ethical question of how to consume content by awful people.

So, my current position is that I definitely wat to see the movie but I don't want to have a red cent go to Card. Is that possible? Any suggestions?
