EYE CANDY: Mike Thurston (6th time!)

Mike Thurston is still one of (if not my very top) favorite male models. He has appeared as Eye Candy the most frequently of any model on my blog (December 31, 2018; June 4, 2018; August 31, 2015; October 19, 2015; December 28, 2015. In addition to having a ridiculously muscular body, he is devilishly handsome and if you have seen any of his YouTube videos (like his 850,000+ followers) you know that he has a delightful British accent and is a successful entrepreneur.

EYE CANDY: Simeon Panda (6th Time!)

Simeon Panda is one of my all-time favorite models. His body is ridiculous, but as you can see, he is extremely handsome as well. This is his sixth appearance as Eye Candy. Surprisingly, he has not graced these pages in over 2 years (February 6, 2017)! Most likely it will be his last, since I am planning on ending my blog on January 1, 2020.

EYE CANDY: Mike Thurston (4th time!)

Michael Thurston is one of my favorite male models on the Internet. To me, he is one of the most photogenic guys on the planet. Along with Simeon Panda, I literally have never seen him take a bad picture, and several of his pictures are breathtaking. Clearly, many of you agree with me, because he has well over 350,000 followers on his Instagram page (@mikethurston). The pictures in this post were taken from that feed. Trust me, this is one Insta feed you want to be following!

I recently realized that he had only appeared as Eye Candy a mere three times (August 31, 2015; October 19, 2015; December 28, 2015), which is quite a pedestrian number for a guy I enjoy seeing so often. Happily, I intend to rectify that problem in 2018.

EYE CANDY: Lucien Laviscount (3rd time!)

Lucien Laviscount has appeared as Eye Candy twice before (March 24, 2014 and December 14, 2015). Lucien is a model and actor of British and West Indian descent. He can be seen in Season one of Fox Television's Scream Queens and also has a lovely social media presence on Twitter (@ItsLucien) and Instagram (@its_lucien).

There's something haunting about his eyes, don't you think? A new meaning for the term "eye candy" indeed!

Queer Quote: Cory Booker Responds To Speculation He's Gay

Democratic U.S. Senate candidate from New Jersey and current Newark mayor Cory Booker gave an interview to the Washington Post yesterday where he responded to question about his status as a 44-year-old single Black man leading to speculation he might be gay with the following remark, which is today's Queer Quote:

"And people who think I’m gay, some part of me thinks it’s wonderful. Because I want to challenge people on their homophobia. I love seeing on Twitter when someone says I’m gay, and I say, ‘So what does it matter if I am? So be it. I hope you are not voting for me because you are making the presumption that I’m straight.’ "

That being said, the article does go on to quote Booker discussing his dates with women, so presumably he is heterosexual. Regardless, it is very cool to see a response to inquiries about  a public figure's sexual orientation which does not stigmatize homosexuality.

Booker is a strong LGBT ally and has supported marriage equality for years. If he wins the special election to the United States senate in October, he will be a great addition to the LGBT Equality caucus.
