Robert Novak is a Mendacious Misanthrope

Last Thursday Washington and the blogosphere was sent into a tizzy, fueled by Robert Novak's assertion that Chief Justice William Rehnquist would be retiring within the week. Yesterday, this rumor was definitively proved to be false: The Court released a statement from The Chief stating that he would be staying on the Court as long as his health allowed. Life is better now that one doesn't have to see his smirking face on CNN's now-defunct "Capital Gang" every weekend, and it is cool to see more confirmation of the axiom from that show "Novak is always wrong!"
