Openly Gay USC Law Pofessor Appointed to Police Commission
The Los Angeles Times reports in a short blurb in today's paper that Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has appointed Richard Saltzman, associate dean of the USC Law School, to the Los Angeles Police Commission, becoming the only openly gay member of the civillian oversight body for the Los Angeles Police Department. He will replace Shelley Freeman and "increase ethnic diversity" on the 5-member body.
