Venus and Serena Makes Rome Quarters
Venus and Serena Williams have both reached the quarterfinals of the Italian Open. Venus beat Shahar Peer 6-3,6-4 while Serena beat Andrea Petkovic 6-2, 3-6, 6-0.
Unfortunately, they are in the same section of the draw, so if they each win their next round match (Venus against b, Serena against Maria Kirilenko) they will face each other in the semifinals. The other half of the draw has Ana Ivanovic, Lucie Safarova, Nadia Petrova and Maria Martinez Sanchez.
