The New Yorker has a cover which generally captures the national zeitgeist about the first presidential candidates' debate on Wednesday October 3rd. Most people felt that President Obama lost the debate as he repeatedly declined to engage an animated Mitt Romney who constantly prevaricated about his public positions and policy proposals while attempting to convince the large audience that he is no longer "severely conservative."

It kills me to say it, because I am Obama all the way, but this cover is kind of genius.
