Not even a resurgent Kim Clijsters, playing in her first tournament back from months of injury in front of a hometown crowd in Antwerp, Belgium could prevent Venus Williams from winning 6-2,6-3 in under an hour. As part of the crowd who has questioned Venus' ability to perform at the highest levels, I was amused to see that she is being inspired by her love of 'bling.' The first person to win the tournament 3 times in its first 5 years gets to keep the $1.3 million gem-encrusted Diamond Games trophy.
