Most Important Chess Tournament of the Decade

The top 8 chess players in the world (except for the recently retired Garry Kasparov, of course) are competing in a double round-robin (everyone plays each player twice, once with white and once with black pieces) in San Luis, Argentina September 27-October 16. Defending "FIDE world champion" Rustam Kasimdzhanov is likely to be a main target for the other players, Anand, Polgar, Leko, Adams, Topalov, Morozevich and Svidler. Los Angeles Times columnist IM Jack Peters has a contest for people to predict the final standings. My FIDE rating is currently 2320 but I haven't played a tournament game in over 5 years so I'm considered "inactive."

However, I am still qualified to predict the final standings
  1. Topalov
  2. Anand
  3. Polgar
  4. Kasimdzhanov
  5. Leko
  6. Adams
  7. Morozevich
  8. Svidler
