Here's the latest ad from the Yes on 1 team who are trying to prevent Maine's marriage equality law from going into effect. Bizarrely, they keep on talking about California and "what kids in school will be taught." Why do they think that whether a state has marriage equality or not will impact what kids will be taught in schools? In 2005 California did not have marriage equality, yet that is when the ad is referencing. In 2008, California did have marriage equality--did all the middle school textbooks change? It's simply nonsensical.
This ad seems particularly desperate, to me. What do you think?
