Endorsements for February 5, 2008 Statewide Election

Here is who (and what) I voted for and urge you to do similar in California's statewide presidential primary election today:

PROPOSITION 92 (Guaranteed Community College Funding): No
PROPOSITION 93 (Modifying Term Limits Initiative): Yes
PROPOSITION 94 (Indian Gambling Compact): Yes
PROPOSITION 95 (Indian Gambling Compact): Yes
PROPOSITION 96 (Indian Gambling Compact): Yes
PROPOSITION 97 (Indian Gambling Compact): Yes
Local Ballot Measures

Well, I cancelled your Yes votes on 94-97 out with my NO vote.

Pechanga does NOT deserve to be rewarde with BILLIONS after treating their people so poorly.

These Indian compacts are a waste of time on ballots when there are far more pressing issues facing this state, the heads of the tribes are raking in all the coins,giving a few to tribe members and, the tribes who can't get into the casino biz, nothing except fights. Or, a tribe like the Torres-Martinez who fought for years to get a casino.

I'll save my coins for Vegas, where they are at least somewhat regulated.
