House Passes Federal Hate Crimes Act 237-180
The Human Rights Campaign just sent out a press release applauding the passage of the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act by the United States House of Representatives by a vote of 237-180. This is only 19 more votes than the 218 votes needed for passage. This bodes well for future passage by the House of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act which was introduced last week in Congress.
