The Mixing Memory science blog has an interesting post on Kanisza's Triangle (shown above). The blog links to 3-D versions and animated versions of this classic visual illusion. The very cool 3-dimensional, animated version of Kanisza's Triangle won second prize in a Best Visual Illusion of the Year contest.
