SCOTUS Rules 5-4 To Uphold Prop 8 TV Ban

The supreme court has apparently upheld its previously issued stay
preventing the live streaming of video of proceedings in the federal
Prop 8 trial.

Justice Stephen Breyer authored a dissenting opinion in which he was
joined by Sotomayor, Ginsburg and Stevens.

MadProfessah is actually in Sam Francisco for the next few days for
the annual Joint Math Meetings, with at least 5000 other mathematicians.

It's possible but doubtful I'll be able to stop by the courthouse
where the prop 8 trial is ongoing, just a few blocks away.
