In other upsets on Friday, World #2 Simona Halep lost to Mirjana Lucic-Baroni in straight sets. Lucic-Baroni, who was something of a prodigy in the mid-1990s is now 32 years old and has now reached the 4th round of the uS Open.

Venus could have won, just as easily as she lost.
Then she came back, combined with Sister Serena, and won in doubles, losing only 3 games in 2 sets. Maybe at this stage of her career, doubles is her game.
Can't imagine how Halep could have lost!
